Collective Agreement

Your collective agreement sets out your rights and responsibilities at work. If you have any concerns about your treatment, please talk to your steward or a member of the executive.

There are also other documents and agreements that form part of the Union's agreement with the City. Some of these are included here:

Bylaws

Our bylaws set out the rules for how our local democratically elects our representatives, and how it is run. Bylaws are reviewed by our Bylaw Committee every two years and approved by CUPE National before adoption.

CUPE 241 is also subject to CUPE's National Constitution. Our bylaws are a complement to this document which applies to the entire organization, across Canada.

Benefits

Benefits for CUPE 241 members are bargained in the collective agreement and provided by Manulife.  If you feel you have been denied benefits that you should have received, please talk to your steward or a member of the executive.

Pensions

Pensions for CUPE 241 members are bargained in the collective agreement and provided through the OMERS pension plan.  If you have a question about your pension rights and can't get a good answer from the employer, please talk to a member of the executive.
